The ʼverse can be a disordered, dangerous place. Security keeps that discord in check — so every Vanguardian feels safer, stronger, and freer to pursue their goals.
A Wing is Vanguard’s largest standing formation — it commands multiple Units, runs its own operations, and recruits and trains its personnel.
Security is where Vanguard's members go from capable to formidable. We escort the convoys, hold the line when it goes loud, and answer the call when a fellow member is in trouble. Our job is simple to state and hard to master: keep the ʼverse's chaos off our people so they can build, mine, explore, and fly without looking over their shoulder.
Every member begins at our Academy, where we bring you to our standard and teach you how we fight together. Graduate, and you deploy into one of our units below, or join the Garrison and run with us until you're ready to commit.
Early
A handful of pilots volunteered to ride shotgun on org operations. An org that mines and trades makes itself a target the moment it succeeds — someone had to guard the people doing the building.
Founding
Leadership formalized the volunteers into a wing and stood up the first training pipeline — the doctrine that would grow into today's Security Academy.
Growth
As threats grew, the wing specialized: ground combat became Fenrir, air superiority became Phoenix, and crewed warship operations consolidated under Defiant.
Today
We've never sought to be the largest wing, and we've never needed to be. We're the one people are glad to see arrive.
