Flight Training & Mastery
A Unit is a Wing’s operational sub-formation — a squadron, flight, or battery with its own specializations, chain of command, progression path, and comms.
Phoenix is the flight unit of Security Wing — dogfighting, air superiority, and everything that happens between a hangar and a hostile contact. When Vanguard needs the sky held, a lane cleared, or a criminal flight group taken apart, Phoenix is who gets sent.
The work runs from escort and screening of friendly assets, to interception of illegal cargo operations, to the outright dismantling of hostile flight groups and the ground elements that feed them. Phoenix pilots are cleared for autonomous operations and high-risk engagement without escort. Expect deep-space contact, uneven odds, and full mission freedom.
Flying here means constant refinement. You’ll drill maneuvers until they’re reflex, specialize across interceptor, bomber, and close air support work, and earn your way from the reserve bench to a fully certified combat pilot other wings ask for by name.
All Phoenix pilots will:
1. Maintain flight readiness. Ship, loadout, and comms squared away before wheels-up.
2. Fly the mission, not the kill count. Objectives and wingmen come first.
3. Never leave a wingman. Mutual support is the price of the patch.
4. Own your debrief. Every sortie gets reviewed; every mistake gets one owner and zero excuses.
5. Cleared for autonomous ops means trusted, not unaccountable. Log contacts and report engagements.
