Rock Raiders

Overview

Rock Raiders is the premier mining and natural resource extraction unit within Vanguard. Rock Raiders manage the locating, collecting, and refining all mineable and other natural resources from wherever they can be found.

Responsibilities

Rock Raiders have two core responsibilities.

Mining: Using any of the plethora of available mining ships, vehicles, or hand tools, we will locate and collect every possible material that can further Vanguard and her mission. Whether it be scanning the mountains and valleys of a barren moon, or scouring any of the asteroid belts, the Rock Raiders will find and collect all materials in the name of Vanguard.

Refining: Using any of the station bound refineries, or the soon-to-be-released refinery ships, we will transform the useless ore into a useable, valuable product. For the benefit of both the crafters and the eventual base builders, the Rock Raiders will provide the best, highest quality material we possibly can.

Importance

With the introduction of crafting, Rock Raiders has gone from a purely profit driven unit, to one that provides the necessary resources for all Vanguardians to acquire the proper materials for strong, unique gear. When base building is truly implemented, Rock Raiders will provide the valuable resources needed to build and maintain all of Vanguard's bases and outposts. When Vanguardians need resources, we will find them.

Locate, collect, and refine all valuable materials for the benefit and prosperity of Vanguard.
