Overview

Frontier Wing’s Transport Group is the backbone that provides Vanguard the galactic reach and power projection it needs to operate as a force within the Verse.  Functioning primarily as an org facing asset, Transport utilizes it’s vast cargo and passenger fleet to safely and reliably move Vanguard’s material and manpower to ensure the success of all of its far reaching endeavors.

Mission

Provide safe and reliable transport of organizational assets. Conduct profitable commerce in various commodities. Establish and manage facilities that expand Vanguard’s influence across the galaxy.

Squadrons

Transport Group is composed of three squadrons, each with their own clearly defined role within the Org. A Tranport Group member’s placement in a squadron reflects their desire to focus on a specific logistical proficiency. While members will often be called to fill different roles across the Transport Group, Frontier Wing, or the Vanguard organization in general, the following squadrons are dedicated to the mastery of their respective interests.

This squadron is charged with maintaining the supply lines that are critical for Vanguard to operate effectively as an intergalactic presence. Some of the operations we engage in include: Moving raw ore from our mining outposts to nearby refineries for processing, or processed ore from our ships to our main base for storage or sale; Transporting bulk salvage from our recovery teams hard at work cleaning up battlespaces to a central collection point; Hauling resupply to our Pioneers busily constructing new outposts in the field; Supplying our surface-based outposts (mining facilities, farms and science/research facilities) with parts and equipment needed to maintain operations, such as batteries, food, agricultural supplies and ground support vehicles.

OSS is tasked to reach far into space to ensure that the strength of Vanguard’s organizational operations are maintained via dependable resupply missions. While our ships do not typically engage in direct combat action, we are often found well outside the relatively safe confines of UEE space, meeting at critical rally points to act as tender ships for Vanguard fleet operations. Often, we can be found as a part of an exploration fleet stocked with all the extra food, medical supplies, and spare parts that may be needed during an extended mission in deep space. Any commodities that our members need in order to remain in an expeditionary state will be promptly delivered by professional pilots that are trained and capable of defending themselves in dangerous situations.

Mobilizers ensure the safe movement of our personnel to and from duty locations. We can be tasked to shuttle players and NPCs to org operated outposts or spaceborne industrial operations. We can be found in low security areas of space rotating personnel stationed aboard a deployed Javelin. We provide the way back to action for recently healed players returning to duty from a nearby hospital and provide a safe flight back to the main base for org members being released from their current assignment to participate in other operations.
