Specialist Ships

Certifies that the holder can employ a specialist ship at the right moment and the right range.

These ships are not judged on their guns. Their value is a system — quantum snare, quantum dampening, electronic effects — and every one of them is range-dependent and state-dependent. Used at the wrong distance, or against a target whose shields are still up, most of them accomplish nothing at all.
